Ralph Mupita is a seasoned business leader with a career spanning engineering, financial services and telecommunications across emerging markets. He has served as Group President and Chief Executive Officer of MTN Group since September 2020, having previously been Group Chief Financial Officer from April 2017.
Prior to this, he was Chief Executive Officer of Old Mutual Emerging Markets, overseeing operations across 19 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Under his leadership, the business served 19 million customers and managed approximately R1 trillion of assets.
At MTN, Ralph has driven initiatives that strengthened the Group’s capital position, advanced portfolio optimisation and expanded local participation through public listings in Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda and Uganda. He also serves on several boards within the MTN ecosystem, including MTN South Africa, MTN Nigeria and MTN Group Fintech.
Ralph plays an active role in global industry leadership. He is Deputy Chair of the GSMA and a Commissioner on the Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development.
In 2025, Ralph was appointed to the board of Dangote Fertiliser.
Ralph holds degrees in engineering and business, including a BSc (Hons) in Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Cape Town and has completed the General Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
Tsholofelo Molefe is an accomplished finance executive with broad experience in financial strategy, capital management and enterprise risk control across the public and private sectors. She was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer of MTN Group in April 2021.
Prior to this, she held a senior group finance leadership role within the telecoms industry, where she was responsible for financial performance management, risk oversight and governance. Her earlier career includes Finance Director at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, as well as roles at First National Bank, ABSA Group, Liberty Group and IBM. Tsholofelo began her career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), where she completed her articles.
Since joining MTN, she has led a focused financial transformation programme, strengthening capital allocation discipline and balance sheet resilience. Under her leadership, the Group has reduced holding company leverage and achieved significant expense efficiencies. She plays a key role in advancing MTN’s Ambition 2030 strategy and supporting the structural separation of platform businesses.
Tsholofelo holds degrees in accounting and finance, including a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, a BCompt (Hons) and a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting. She is a CA(SA). She has also completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
Selorm Adadevoh is a versatile business leader with extensive experience spanning telecommunications, financial services and digital innovation across emerging markets. He currently serves as Group Chief Commercial, Strategy and Transformation Officer at MTN Group, where he leads the integration of commercial excellence with strategic growth and digital transformation initiatives across the company’s operations.
Selorm joined MTN in 2018 as Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, where he successfully steered the business through significant market expansion, digital acceleration and operational transformation. Under his leadership, MTN Ghana consolidated its position as a market leader and deepened its contribution to the Group’s broader strategic objectives.
Before joining MTN, Selorm held senior leadership positions within the Digicel Group, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Global Director for Mobile Financial Services. He also held various executive roles at Millicom (Tigo) in Ghana, serving as Chief Commercial Officer, Head of Mobile Financial Services and Head of Product Innovation. His career reflects a consistent track record of driving growth, innovation and customer-centric transformation in highly competitive markets.
Selorm also serves as a director on several boards within the MTN Group, contributing his commercial and strategic expertise to advance the Group’s Ambition 2030 objectives.
Selorm holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA, reflecting a strong foundation in both technical and business disciplines.
Ferdi Moolman is an experienced business leader with more than three decades of experience in finance, telecommunications and consulting across Africa, the Middle East and Europe. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of MTN South Africa effective 1 November 2025. Prior to this, he served as MTN Group Chief Risk Officer, which he has held since April 2021.
Before that, Ferdi served as Chief Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s market leadership and advancing its strategic priorities across one of MTN’s largest operations. His career at MTN includes leadership roles as General Manager for Financial Operations, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of MTN Irancell and Chief Financial Officer of MTN Nigeria.
Before joining MTN, Ferdi held senior positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Momentum Life, Europ Assistance and the Auditor General’s Office of South Africa, gaining extensive experience in financial auditing, operations and taxation. He also serves as a director on several MTN Group subsidiary boards.
Ferdi holds a BCom (Accounting) degree from the University of Pretoria, a BCompt (Hons) from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and is CA(SA).
Yolanda Cuba is the Deputy CEO of MTN South Africa and former MTN Group Vice President for the SEA region, covering Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Zambia and Eswatini. She previously served as CEO of Vodafone Ghana and as Group Chief Strategy Officer for Strategy, New Business and M&A at Vodacom Group, where she oversaw operations across South Africa, Tanzania, Mozambique, the DRC and Lesotho. Ms Cuba has wealth of experience in telecoms, financial services and fast‑moving consumer goods among others. Her work experience started in corporate finance and transitioned to operational management in diversified industries.
She was one of the youngest CEOs of a JSE-listed company at the age of 29 years and has been recognised as CEO/Business personality of the year by multiple platforms over her 20-year working experience. She was also selected by the World Economic Forum as one of the Young Global Leaders and named one of the Choiseul 100 Africa by Institut Choiseul (France).
She is a CA(SA) by training and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and a Master of Commerce degree from the University of Pretoria. She is an alumna of programmes at INSEAD, Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School.
She has served on numerous JSE-listed companies as non-executive director including Absa Group where she was the longest serving member for 12 years before resigning in 2019. She currently serves as non-executive director for Volkswagen Group Africa.
She is passionate about education and inclusive social and financial development and has served on the Advisory Board of Stellenbosch University Business School, is a founder of Cuba-Mtyi Foundation (which launched The Mentorship Boardroom) and serves as a Trustee for the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
Dineo became Chief Financial Officer at MTN South Africa in 2020. She joined MTN SA from T‑Systems South Africa, part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, where she served as Managing Director since May 2018. She is a highly experience finance executive with a career spanning more than 23 years, 11 of those in executive and board-level leadership roles. Dineo was a Finance Executive at Vodacom and Group Financial Director at Thebe Investment Corporation.
She is a passionate advocate for skills development for young people and an advocate for acknowledgement of women in corporate and empowerment of communities.
Karl Toriola is the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria.
Karl Toriola is an accomplished telecommunications executive with extensive experience across engineering, operations and executive leadership within Africa’s dynamic mobile industry. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria since 2021 and Vice President for Francophone Africa, driving the Group’s strategic focus on regional growth, operational excellence and digital transformation.
Karl joined MTN in 2006 and has held a range of senior leadership roles across the Group, including Chief Executive Officer of MTN Cameroon and Chief Technical Officer of MTN Nigeria. Before his current appointment, he served as Vice President for MTN’s West and Central Africa Region, where he was responsible for overseeing performance across multiple markets and advancing cross-border synergies in network, commercial and digital operations.
Prior to joining MTN, Karl gained diverse international experience with leading telecommunications companies. He served as Chief Operations Officer at Airtel Nigeria and held several engineering and managerial positions at Ericsson in Switzerland and Nigeria. His deep technical foundation and leadership acumen have positioned him as one of the continent’s most respected voices in telecommunications and enterprise innovation.
Karl is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) and a member of both the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) and the Institute of Directors (IoD). In 2024, he was appointed as Patron of the Lagos International Theatre Festival, reflecting his commitment to the broader development of culture and creativity in Nigeria. He also serves as a director on several boards within the MTN Group.
Karl holds a BSc (Hons) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and an MSc in Communication Systems from Swansea University in the United Kingdom. He has completed the General Management Programme at Harvard Business School, the Corporate Finance Programme at London Business School, the Breakthrough Programme for Senior Executives at IMD and an Executive Programme at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
As a Chartered Accountant, Modupe is a highly experienced business and finance executive with a career spanning more than 30 years of cross-functional and cross-industry experience, locally and internationally. He currently serves as executive director and CFO for MTN Nigeria. He was also a past executive director and CFO for MTN Ghana and has held a number of senior financial roles since joining MTN in 2007.
Modupe is also an alumnus of INSEAD, Columbia Business School, Kellogg School of Management and IMD.
Ebenezer Asante is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in telecommunications and management across Africa. He currently serves as Senior Vice President: SEAGHAS Markets, overseeing profit and loss responsibilities across all MTN operating regions.
Prior to this, he served as Vice President for the West and Central Africa (WECA) region and subsequently as Vice President for the Southern and East Africa and Ghana (SEAGHA) region from September 2017 to December 2020.
Ebenezer has also held Chief Executive Officer roles at MTN Ghana and MTN Rwanda, where he led strong financial and operational performance, while fostering people-focused leadership and sustainable business growth.
Before joining MTN, he held senior leadership positions in human resources and general management, building a reputation for developing talent and driving organisational transformation.
He also serves as a director on several boards within the MTN Group.
Ebenezer holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana and a Management Diploma from Henley Management College (UK).
Stephen Blewett is a distinguished leader in the field of telecommunications with almost 30 years of industry experience, including over 20 years in executive roles and 18 years as a Chief Executive Officer. His journey to CEO began early, becoming the Managing Director of Altech Autopage at the age of 34.
Stephen took the helm of MTN Ghana in April 2024 and has prioritised operational execution excellence and deepened stakeholder engagement. His leadership has seen the company solidify its status as Ghana’s leading telecommunications provider, managing a massive digital ecosystem.
Stephen has built a formidable reputation for revitalising underperforming markets and transforming them into profitable, award-winning operations.
During his time at MTN Cameroon, the business achieved double-digit growth for the first time in five years, significantly improving both profitability and employee engagement. At MTN Benin, he spearheaded operational excellence that led to multiple leadership awards and a stronger market position before being appointed to larger regional roles.
Antoinette Kwofie is the Chief Finance Officer for MTN Ghana, responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for the finance division. She is also responsible for aligning financial deliverables with MTN's business strategy and Ambition 2030.
Before joining MTN, Antoinette was CFO of Absa Bank, a position which she held for over eight years. She joined Absa in 2007, where she held various roles, including Finance Business Partner, Head of Business Performance and Analytics and Financial Controller. Antoinette worked in a variety of senior finance roles within the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK and as a consultant with Ernst & Young's advisory services arm in Ghana.
Antoinette is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK. She is an alumna of the University of Ghana, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics.
Shaibu Haruna is a seasoned executive with over two and half decades of commercial experience in diverse businesses across Africa and the Middle East. His experience spans fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), automobile, financial services, e-commerce and telecoms. The past 18 years of his career have been in telecoms/digital services where he led channel and business transformation/turnaround in Ghana, Uganda, South Africa and Saudi Arabia markets.
A greater part of his telecommunications career has been with MTN where he spearheaded the highly rated distribution model for MTN in Ghana, which has since been replicated across majority of the MTN footprints across 21 markets. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of MobileMoney LTD, the subsidiary of Scancom Plc (MTN Ghana) and market leader of digital financial services.
Prior to his appointment as the CEO for MobileMoney LTD, Shaibu rejoined MTN Ghana in 2021 as the Chief Sales and Distribution Officer where he engineered the transformation journey of MTN Ghana distribution route to market in line with MTN Group’s vision – Ambition 2025. He has championed several business turnaround strategies in Mobile Financial Services, Channel Transformation, Retail Experience and Enterprise Business.
Shaibu holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Ghana’s Business School and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
Serigne Dioum is a seasoned telecommunications and financial technology executive with over two decades of experience driving innovation across mobile and digital ecosystems in Africa. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for MTN Group Fintech, a position he has held since January 2023, where he leads the strategic development and expansion of MTN’s mobile financial services and digital payments portfolio across its markets.
Serigne joined MTN in 2013 and has played a pivotal role in building MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) into one of the continent’s leading financial inclusion platforms. As the Group Executive for Mobile Financial Services prior to his current role, he was instrumental in scaling MoMo’s reach and advancing the Group’s fintech strategy to empower individuals and small businesses through digital financial solutions.
Before joining MTN, Serigne gained extensive experience in telecommunications and financial systems development, combining deep technical expertise with strategic leadership across emerging markets. His work continues to focus on expanding digital access, accelerating financial inclusion and strengthening MTN’s position as a key player in Africa’s evolving fintech landscape.
He also serves as a director on several boards within the MTN Group, contributing to the governance and strategic oversight of the company’s fintech and digital businesses.
Serigne holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and Computing Systems from Telecom Bretagne, France; and an Engineering degree in Communication Systems from Eurecom Institute, Sophia Antipolis, France. His academic background combines advanced technical training in networks, mobile technology, multimedia and communications.
With over 24 years of management experience, Kunle is a General Accountant and acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Lagos, as well as a Masters’ degree in Finance from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. Kunle also holds several professional certifications, such as ACCA UK, CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), CertIFR (ACCA’s Certificate in International Financial Reporting) and Associateship of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB).
His entrepreneurial spirit, self‑driven nature and ability to motivate a high-performing, fast-paced team will bode well in his new role. As CFO for Fintech, Kunle is responsible for the Fintech structural separation, stakeholder engagements and ensuring strategic platform growth in alignment with Ambition 2030.
Mazen Mroué is a seasoned telecommunications and digital infrastructure executive with over 25 years of senior and executive management experience across Africa and the Middle East. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for MTN Group Digital Infrastructure, where he leads the Group’s Mobility and Fibre businesses and drives the execution of MTN’s data centre strategy, a key pillar in enabling Africa’s digital transformation.
Since joining MTN in 1998, Mazen has held multiple senior leadership roles across the Group’s regional operations, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer positions in the various operating companies. His extensive experience spans telecommunications, information technology and digital services, with a strong track record of advancing network innovation, operational efficiency and business growth across diverse markets.
Mazen also serves as a director on several boards within the MTN Group, contributing to the strategic governance and development of the Group’s digital and infrastructure portfolio. His leadership continues to strengthen MTN’s capabilities in delivering next-generation connectivity and digital infrastructure solutions.
Mazen holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, specialising in Intellectual Systems and Networks. He has also completed executive programmes in Leadership Development and Executive Finance at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
Sylvia Mulinge is the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Uganda, having joined in October 2022 from Safaricom PLC in Kenya where she served as a Chief Consumer Business Officer. She is a seasoned executive with a commercial career spanning over 20 years in telecoms, financial services and fast-moving consumer goods.
Sylvia chairs the boards of MTN Mobile Money Uganda and Maasai Mara Wildlife Conservancies Association in Kenya. She also serves as a Board member for MTN Uganda, Ayo Uganda and President’s Award – Kenya, which is the leading youth achievement award in Kenya, equipping young people for life. She is also an advisory member of Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) where she advises on strategic initiatives to empower urban slum communities with integrated programmes in health and education.
She has been widely recognised for her leadership and impact with several awards including the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear in Kenya which is conferred by the President of Kenya in recognition of distinguished service to the Nation. She has been named among the 100 Most Influential African Women (2020), Kenya’s Top 25 Women in Digital and Top 40 Women Under 40 in Kenya. More recently, she was recognised as the Best CEO across all operations of the MTN Group (2024), Uganda’s leading and most admired Ugandan CEO (2024) and top 45 most influential women in digital transformation in Africa (2023).
Sylvia is an alumna of the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology. She is also a certified executive coach and mentor in both her personal and professional life.
She has a passion for transforming lives, leadership, women empowerment and creating community impact. Sylvia is also a dedicated mother of two teens and an enthusiast for healthy living and fitness.
Wanda Matandela is the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Cameroon, bringing over 20 years of leadership experience across telecommunications, financial services, enterprise business and consumer markets in Africa.
Under his leadership, MTN Cameroon delivered one of its strongest performances in 2025, achieving approximately 20% year-on-year service revenue growth and EBITDA margins of approximately 44%, while accelerating its Ambition 2030 and digital transformation agenda. The business remains firmly on track toward becoming a ~$1 billion company in the medium term.
Prior to joining MTN Cameroon, Wanda served as Chief Operations Officer of MTN South Africa and previously as Chief Enterprise Business Officer, where he successfully led the turnaround of the Enterprise Business Unit, delivering 18 consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth and doubling revenue from approximately $250 million to $450 million by 2023.
Before joining MTN, Wanda held senior leadership roles at Vodacom Group across consumer and enterprise businesses, including regional executive positions overseeing both commercial and technology operations. He also served as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Ster-Kinekor Theatres, Africa’s largest cinema group at the time.
Wanda holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Walter Sisulu University, a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Wits University, an MBA from Stellenbosch University and a Leadership Certificate from IMD Business School in Switzerland.
Mitwa Kaemba Ng’ambi is Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at MTN Côte d’Ivoire, one of MTN Group’s key markets in West Africa.
She has over 15 years of leadership experience in the African telecommunications industry, having previously served as CEO of MTN Cameroon and MTN Rwanda and earlier as CEO of AirtelTigo Ghana and Tigo Senegal.
Known for leading transformation and growth assignments, she has overseen major milestones including business turnaround, market repositioning, licence renewals and public listings.
Mitwa holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Eastern Finland.
Originally from Zambia, she has lived and worked in several African countries over the past decade and she is passionate about leveraging technology, connectivity and digital platforms to accelerate Africa’s social and economic progress.
Charles Molapisi is a distinguished telecommunications executive known for leading large-scale digital transformations and leading operating companies in the MTN Group. His career at MTN is marked by his tenure as Chief Information Officer at MTN Nigeria, where he spearheaded digital transformation initiatives and the deployment of enterprise solutions. Between 2015 and 2018, Molapisi served as the CEO of MTN Zambia, orchestrating a comprehensive business turnaround that earned him the 'CEO of the Year' accolade across the MTN Group. Under his leadership, MTN Zambia was also recognised as the best operating company within the Group for 2018. Following this success, he transitioned to the role of Group Chief Technology and Information Officer from 2019 to 2021, where he was instrumental in the strategic rollout of 5G technology, the optimisation of capital expenditure, rollout of the cybersecurity program and the modernisation of API and data infrastructure.
In 2022, Molapisi was appointed CEO of MTN South Africa, a role he held through 2025. During this period, he focused on strengthening network resilience, accelerating the growth of home broadband services and implementing rigorous cost efficiencies while expanding enterprise service offerings. His leadership was critical in navigating a competitive landscape. In November 2025, he returned to the Group level as the Group CTIO. In this current capacity, he is tasked with leading a new frontier of technological evolution for the organisation, primarily focusing on driving systemic value creation through the orchestration and integration of Artificial Intelligence across all operational markets. Molapisi is an avid cyclist and has participated in major cycling races across the country.
Nompilo Morafo is an established corporate affairs and sustainability leader with a career spanning more than two decades across financial services, mining, oil and gas and telecommunications. She has served as Group Chief Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer of MTN Group since February 2022, after previously leading the same portfolio as Group Executive.
In her role, Nompilo drives MTN’s sustainability and corporate citizenship agenda, with a focus on decarbonisation, diversity and inclusion, stakeholder engagement, human rights protection and transparent reporting. She is responsible for ensuring that MTN’s business practices create long-term value and deliver a positive societal impact, aligning with the Group’s purpose of enabling shared prosperity across its markets.
Before joining MTN in 2019, Nompilo held senior positions in multinational organisations. She served as Country Director for Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainable Development at LafargeHolcim and as Vice President for Sasol’s International Exploration and Production business, based in Mozambique. Her experience reflects a strong record of leading strategic transformation and advancing sustainability within complex, multinational environments.
Nompilo holds a BTech in Business Communications from the Tshwane University of Technology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice from Henley Business School and has completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
Roy Mutooni leads MTN Group's investor relations function, translating the Group's operational complexity – spanning connectivity, fintech and digital infrastructure across 16 markets and more than 300 million customers – into a clear and compelling investment narrative for global institutional investors, analysts and shareholders.
He brings over two decades of experience in African capital markets, having managed multi-billion-rand equity mandates at Sanlam Investment Management and Absa Asset Management and led industrials research franchises at Renaissance Capital and Deutsche Bank. A CFA charterholder and Wits Business School MBA graduate, Roy was consistently ranked among South Africa's top five equity analysts for a decade, reaching #1 in the 2011 Institutional Investor Global Emerging Markets rankings.
