Bio

Thato is the Group Executive: Investor Relations for MTN Group. Prior to joining MTN in 2019, Thato worked at Absa Asset Management, where he held the role of Portfolio Manager, co-managing the flagship funds within the Equities franchise. Before that, he was a Senior Investment Analyst at STANLIB Asset Management; prior to which Thato was a Director and top-rate sell-side research analyst at Citigroup Global Markets and UBS Investment Banks where he covered a variety of sectors and industries.

At MTN, Thato sits on the Boards of some of the WECA operating companies and is a member of the Group Treasury Committee and Brand Council. He is also a trustee of the MTN Group Retirement Fund, for which he also serves on the Audit & Risk Committee and Chairs the Investment Committee.
